Expansion Modules
In addition to programmable logic control systems (PLC), distributed control systems (DSC), IoT protocol converter and gateway solutions, and operator control and monitoring systems, Expansion Modules in Mikrodev's product range are hardware components used to increase the functionality of devices. These modules can be used together with other products from Mikrodev to expand the features of the devices.
Mikrodev's wide product range includes two different types of expansion modules: XIO110 Series Expansion Modules and XIO211 Series Expansion Modules. XIO211 and XIO110 series expansion modules provide Remote IO solutions over Ethernet, GSM, Wi-Fi, RS485 or RS232 networks. The IO types in the remote IO unit are: Digital Input, Digital Output, Relay Output, Analog Input, Analog Output and RTD (PT1000) Input.
XIO211 Series Expansion Modules have technical features such as 32 bit Cortex-M4 processor running at 180 Mhz, 8 channel relay, MODBUS communication protocol, 0-20 mA or 0-10 V AOUT type, PT100 or PT1000 RTD type and 6 channel RTD. Additionally, it has 12-bit or 16-bit ADC type and IO expansion capability that can expand up to 512 or 1024 points. XIO211 modules can also be used in various application areas such as building automation, energy systems, water systems, process automation, machine automation, transportation systems, IoT and telemetry applications, lighting systems and agricultural irrigation systems.
XIO110 Series Expansion Modules have technical features that include a 32-bit Cortex-M4 processor running at 180 Mhz and supporting MODBUS and/or DALI communication protocol. Depending on the number of channels, 8 or 16 DIN channels, 8 or 16 DOUT channels, 4 or 8 AIN channels, IO expansion capacity up to 512 or 1024 points, 24 V DC power supply and -20…+60°C operating temperature It has features such as. Some differences between XIO211 and XIO110 modules can be listed as follows: While the XIO211 module has 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, the XIO110 module has only 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. Additionally, the XIO211 module has 4 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs, while the XIO110 module has only 2 analog inputs and 1 analog output.
