Mikrodev DM50 series industrial RTUs are used to control smart electrical devices (protection relays, reclosers, energy and quality analyzers, etc.) in the electricity sector with the industry's standard protocols IEC 61850, MODBUS TCP and MODBUS RTU protocols and to read their data. Additionally, communication can be established with SCADA or control center software via IEC 60870, DNP3 and MODBUS TCP protocols.

While the DM50-E1LW-GE0-B7008 model offers 4G LTE Cat 1 support, the DM50-E2L-GE0-B6000 model offers 2G/3G support.
While the DM50-E1LW-GE0-B7008 model has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, the DM50-E2L-GE0-B6000 model has 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage.
The DM50-E1LW-GE0-B7008 model has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera, while the DM50-E2L-GE0-B6000 model has only a 5MP rear camera.
